Recently renovated in November 2024, this lovely compact bach is situated on the Tutakaka Coast approximately three hours’ drive north of Auckland, and across the road from the spectacular white sands of Matapouri Bay Beach.

Matapouri Bay is a beautiful white sandy bay where children can play and swim safely. For good snorkelling and fishing from the rocks there is a lovely walk over to Whale Bay, and further on is Sandy Bay - the best of the surfing beaches in the area.
Whilst you’re in the area, take the opportunity to go on an ocean cruise to explore the fantastic Poor Knights Island, dive the historic Rainbow Warrior shipwreck in the beautiful Cavalli Islands, hike to Tane Moana – the largest known coastal Kauri, or explore the vineyards in the area.
Amenities
The accommodation consists of two bedrooms sleeping up to 6 people - Bed 1 : 1 queen size bed, Bed 2 : one 3 person bunk set (single upper/double lower) and one pull out ¾ sized trundler bed.
The Bach is fully furnished, has a fully equipped kitchen, washing machine, free Wi-fi and a Smart TV.

The Matapouri Bay Store situated just up the road on the corner is open seven days a week, and is not only a grocery store , but is also a Takeaway, ice cream shop and internet cafe.
