Our 2-bedroom Mako Street Holiday Home sleeps four and is located on Waiheke Island located on Waiheke Island a short ferry ride away from Auckland, nestled in native bush less than ten minutes walking distance from the Oneroa shops, beach and bus routes. From here visit some of the Island's many vineyards and craft distilleries, dine out at the excellent restaurants, or participate in the various activities the island has to offer - the choice is yours!
Waiheke is known for its vineyards – there are about 26 of them producing a variety of wines – many of which are home to award winning winemakers and viticulturists. Take a bus or the Island Hop-on Hop-off bus and stop off for wine tastings wherever the fancy takes you! Many of the vineyards have beautiful gardens and excellent restaurants attached. If you have a car venture further afield – there are so many vineyards to choose from, as well as Olive Groves and craft distilleries to visit.
For the energetic walk some of the magnificent tracks on the Te Ara Hura Trail with its spectacular views and walks through native forest. If you’re an adrenaline junky try zip lining across the native bush! Other activities on the Island include kayaking, paddleboarding, jet skiing, cycling and much more.
For those who love the beach, there are many to chose from. Within walking distance are the white sands and calm waters of Oneroa Beach which attract swimmers, sunbathers and beach loving families. A little further along Little Oneroa with its playground is great for children. A bus or car drive away, Onetangi Beach is a long beach great for walking, swimming and surfing, whilst Palm Beach, Shelly Beach, Sandy Bay and Man O’War Bay all have their attractions.

A Four Square, specialist Island Grocer and well-stocked bottle store are situated in the main street of Oneroa a short walk away. A Woolworths supermarket is a ten minute drive away.
